Volunteering

Volunteers for Boulder County Cares are ordinary folks from our community. Because of the diverse needs and challenges faced by our community's homeless, all BCC volunteers are required to:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Commit to a half-day training once per season
  • Be able to commit to the program weekly or biweekly for the entire winter season from October 1 until April 30.
  • Be interested in getting to know our city's homeless and provide assistance whenever requested.

Boulder County Cares is primarily a volunteer-driven program. Without the dedication of over two dozen of Boulder's citizens, the program could not operate. Most BCC volunteers return to the program season after season. They find the work they do for BCC both rewarding and enriching to their lives.

Volunteers for BCC also play a key role in increasing community awareness of the issues homeless people face in affluent Boulder County.

If you would like to volunteer for BCC, either as a weekly outreach worker or in an administrative capacity, please contact Taryn Hutchins-Cabibi, BCC Coordinator, at (303) 468-4328 or email BCC.
